 About OFFERS, Panay

Organic Farming Field Experimental and Resource Station or OFFERS Panay is a non-profit organization which works with local small farmers to increase productivity and quality in rice farming. OFFERS advocates for sustainable agriculture and the use of appropriate farming technology. OFFERS is also a hub for dissemination on important agricultural issues such as food insecurity and the impacts of genetically modified crops on health and the environment.

About Karen

Karen has been the Executive Director of Organic Farming Field Experimental and Resource Station since 2004. She is responsible for overall operation of the organization including fundraising, grant writing, coordination of the food security program, and campaigning and network building. Funds that Karen has raised through her work, has enabled the creation of food security programs in 44 communities since 2004 and will continue until 2013. Along with access to healthier foods and increased soil fertility, these programs have also improved their community’s productivity and incomes.
