Our office had a visit from Ram and JB recently, who came to explain ARI's vision and programs.  As an architecture firm engaged in building with appropriate technologies, we were very interested to learn from them.  

Of particular interest was to possibility of a collaboration on an upcoming building project at ARI .  What developed from our discussion was an awareness of a need  to gather knowledge about regionally appropriate methods of building.  Although many of us have direct experience in working with various building techniques, such as straw bales and various recycled materials, all of us would benefit from broadening our knowledge and  applying it to the specifics of ARI's site.

We've started to pull together a small library of web-based knowledge to share with others; we look forward to the collaboration!
