Sandra Leyva

Sandra Leyva currently lives in Seattle working to earn her bachelors degree in the Comparative History of Ideas (CHID) with a minor in Latin American Studies from the University of Washington. After being born in Texas and before moving to Washington, Sandra grew up in Mexico City. Being an immigrant to the US and a traveler to many different countries around the world, she has found a passion in working for the betterment of her community, which she broadly defines as Latinos, Mexicans and Chicanos. This focus guides her work in school as well as in iLEAP. Sandra has a big family, lots of friends, a younger brother named Victor, and two dogs Barley and Polo. One of her favorite things to do is to cook for any one of them.
