International Fellowship | Social Innovation Forum: JAPAN | Social Innovation in Seattle | iLEAP Outbound
The iLEAP International Fellowship is a 3 month, intensive training program designed to strengthen and expand the leadership capacities of experienced social change leaders from Asia, Africa and Latin America. The program is organized around four central themes: Collaboration and Partnership, Leadership, Digital Media and Communication, and Sustainability. International Fellows collaborate with and learn from Seattle-based leaders and organizations in their field, fostering the development of deep relationships between program participants and the global development sector in Washington state.
The Social Innovation Forum is a 10 day intensive training in personal leadership and global partnership. The Social Innovation Forum: JAPAN is the first Social Innovation Forum and it was created in the wake of the March 11, 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The Social Innovation Forum: JAPAN is an investment in rebuilding the country through energizing civil society, empowering emerging leaders, and forging global partnerships of mutual support between American and Japanese civil society. More Social Innovation Forums--10 day intensive trainings aimed at energizing social business and civil society--will be offered to participants from other countries in the near future.
Social Innovation in Seattle (SIIS) is a 4 week educational program designed to introduce participants to the idea of social innovation and inspire greater clarity around one's personal leadership and vocation. The integrated currculum balances classroom learning with a professional internship and different site visits to Seattle-based businesses and organizations pursuing some degree of social innovation. SIIS participants also take part in individual advising and coaching sessions which serve to weave the experience together and make it uniquely relevant to his or her life.
