Up one levelThe Class of Spring 2008 has 4 Fellows from all over the world. Below you will find some brief profiles of some of these remarkable folks.
Ramraj Pokhrel (Nepal)
Mr. Pokhrel is a Senior Program Officer of SAHAMATI, and one of SAHAMATI’s founding members. Responding to what he sees as the widening gulf between rich and poor in Nepal and the nominal access provided to women, children, and disadvantaged to participate in community development, Mr. Pokhrel directs projects that seek to improve community livelihoods and encourage equitable development through a participatory self-help approach.
Abel Chadi Adje (Togo)
Mr. Abel Chadi Adje works with the Global Alliance for Community Empowerment (GACE), a non profit organization established by Alaffia, based on Olympia, Washington, and individual volunteers from around the world. GACe's mission is to empower African communities through the advancement of fair trade, education, sustainable living, and gender equality.
Shammi David (India)
Ms. Shammi David for Coorg Organization for Rural Development (CORD), an organization committed to promoting effective development intervention among the deprived and marginalized sections of the population in the Kodagu district of Karnataka.
Sylvester Nzene (Cameroon)
Mr. Nzene is the Executive Director of PFPF, where he directs projects serving the poor and vulnerable (mostly women, youth and children) in the Kupe-Muanenguba Division of Cameroon.
